The Tourism Destination Study Program held a "Guest Lecture"
The Tourism Destination Study Program held a "Guest Lecture" on Friday (February 14, 2025).
With the theme "Harmony with Nature: Maintaining the Balance of Ecosystems and Tourism at Monkey Forest Ubud," this guest lecture featured the General Manager of Monkey Forest Ubud, A.A. Ngurah Bagus Baskara, S.ST.Par.
In his presentation, he explained that tourism is indeed inseparable from nature, especially since Monkey Forest relies on the forest and monkeys as its main attractions, which are highly influenced by weather and natural conditions. Various efforts are made to ensure safety and comfort for visitors, including educating staff, collaborating with various stakeholders, maintaining visitor numbers within the carrying capacity, and regularly maintaining tourism facilities.
Composting also plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness of the tourist area from fallen leaves, the results of which can be reused for plant fertilization and improving soil fertility. This way, nature remains well-preserved, and tourism activities can run safely and comfortably.
