Supporting Regenerative Tourism, Poltekpar Bali Enhances the Capacity of Tourism Actors in Labuan Bajo
The Research and Community Service Center (P3M) of the Bali Tourism Polytechnic, in collaboration with the Applied Master's Program in Tourism (MTP), the Applied Bachelor Program in Tourism Destinations (DEP), and the Diploma III Culinary Arts Program (SKU), conducted a community service activity in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai (November 18-19, 2024).
During this activity, 50 participants, consisting of various tourism actors in Labuan Bajo, were invited to better understand regenerative tourism and the actions needed to realize it. Additionally, the participants were also guided in hands-on practices in processing local resources into distinctive products of Labuan Bajo.
The Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Creative Economy, and Culture welcomed the activity. He also mentioned that the development of tourism in Labuan Bajo should focus on regenerative tourism to support sustainability and the welfare of the local community.
