Ready to Host International Events! Poltekpar Bali Holds Cross-Cultural Communication Training in Panji Village
**Buleleng, October 1-2, 2024** – Politeknik Pariwisata Bali once again conducted a Community Service Program (PKM) in Panji Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, as part of its ongoing efforts to support local tourism development. In this fourth phase, the focus of the activities was on Cross-Cultural Communication Skills Training to support event organization in the village, including prominent events like the Panji Festival.
The training, held on October 1-2, 2024, at the Panji Village Hall, was attended by Jro Mangku Made Ariawan, S.S.T.Par., MBA., the village head, alongside Ni Made Ari Cahyanti, Chair of the PKK Village Movement Team. The event also featured speakers from Poltekpar Bali and the State Hindu Religious College (STAHN) Mpu Kuturan Singaraja. A total of 30 participants, including village officials, Pokdarwis, local MSME entrepreneurs, and local tourism operators such as accommodation and restaurant owners, took part in the training.
In his speech, Jro Mangku Made Ariawan expressed appreciation for Poltekpar Bali’s ongoing support in accelerating development in Panji Village. He noted that after several PKM sessions, the activities have now reached the implementation level, where the material provided will soon be applied by the village tourism managers, MSMEs, and environmental preservation programs such as TPS-3R and education on forest and water resource conservation. “We should be proud that Panji Village has been the site of Poltekpar Bali's PKM for the fourth time. This training will be directly implemented in the field by stakeholders such as village tourism managers, MSMEs, KWT, and village environmental programs,” he said.
In addition to the training, one of the plans for this PKM implementation is to host a local event at the Panji Village Field, which will serve as a creative hub to engage various village stakeholders. The event will be supported by Poltekpar Bali, the Panji Village Government, and other related parties.
I Nengah Wirata, S.E., M.Par, the Head of the Tourism Department representing the Director of Poltekpar Bali, emphasized that this PKM is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of the village community in tourism, MSMEs, culinary arts, and a commitment to environmental sustainability. “After this fourth PKM, we plan to continue by organizing an event that will be coordinated by Poltekpar Bali students, so that Panji, which is already well-known, can shine even more through various local tourism activities,” he stated.
With this training, Poltekpar Bali hopes to continue making a tangible contribution to the development of tourism potential in Panji Village and to enhance the community’s readiness to host international-scale events like the Panji Festival.
