Poltekpar Bali Students Showcase Hotel Management Skills at Kamala Resort Bali Soft Opening
Badung, Balinews.id – Politeknik Pariwisata (Poltekpar) Bali has officially inaugurated the Kamala Resort Bali. The soft opening was formally opened by the Director of Politeknik Pariwisata Bali, Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes, and the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani, on Monday (20/5/24).
This event also served as a platform for 8th-semester students of the Hotel Management Study Program at Poltekpar Bali to demonstrate their skills in applying the theories they have learned in their Management Application courses. Various engaging activities were presented at the soft opening, such as tours, culinary demonstrations by students, and networking sessions with industry professionals.
In his speech, the Director of Politeknik Pariwisata Bali, Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes, explained that Kamala Bali Resort was built to support the academic and practical activities of Poltekpar Bali students.
"The presence of Kamala Bali Resort as a campus hotel is a tangible manifestation and commitment from all of us to develop the quality of education, particularly in the field of hospitality," he stated. He explained that Kamala Hotel is a campus hotel managed by Poltekpar Bali. Its construction has been planned since 2019. The name Kamala comes from Sanskrit, which is another name for the lotus flower.
"Kamala also stands for tourism based on community, culture, and sustainability. The lotus has eight petals symbolizing astadala, meaning may good thoughts come from all directions," he explained. Kamala Bali Resort has 51 rooms with five types of rooms including 31 superior rooms, 10 standard rooms, 8 deluxe rooms, 1 executive suite, and 1 presidential suite. Kamala Bali Resort offers a luxurious stay experience at
competitive prices. With prices ranging from Rp 500,000 to Rp 1,000,000, guests can stay at this hotel. Other facilities available include meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a bar.
