Poltekpar Bali Develops Tourism Potential in Manukaya Village Hosts Training on Food Services, Processing, and Presentation of Creative Beverages
GIANYAR, NusaBali.com - Manukaya Village in Gianyar Regency, Bali, is making significant strides in developing its tourism potential. This was evident from the enthusiasm of the residents in attending the 'Training on Food Services, Processing, and Presentation of Creative Beverages' organized by Politeknik Pariwisata Bali (Poltekpar Bali) on May 20-21, 2024.
The training, initiated by the Food Service Management Department (TAH) of Poltekpar Bali, was attended by 30 residents with diverse educational and professional backgrounds. Over the course of two days, they received material on excellent service, types of food and beverage services, types of beverages, and their processing methods.
"This activity is part of the obligations of higher education institutions to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, one of which is Community Service," explained the Head of the Activity, Putu Mira Astuti Pranadewi SSTParMPar.
The main goal of this training is to help the community enhance their knowledge and skills in providing food and beverage services, as well as processing local ingredients into products that can boost the local economy.
"This activity has been accurately targeted to help the community better understand and improve their skills in providing food and beverage services and processing creative beverages," said the Head of Manukaya Village, I Kadek Sukariada.
Sukariada hopes that this activity will be conducted continuously to help Manukaya Village prepare itself to become one of the tourist villages in Gianyar Regency.
With increased knowledge and skills in providing food and beverage services, it is hoped that Manukaya Village can become an even more attractive tourist destination for visitors.
"Poltekpar Bali is ready to provide training or assistance in other areas to advance the potential of the village," emphasized Dr. Putu Diah Sastri Pitanatri, SSTParMPar, as the Head of the Research and Community Service Center, who opened the event on behalf of the Director of Poltekpar Bali.
