Pariwisata Poltekpar Bali Gelar Pelatihan Komunikasi Lintas Budaya di Buleleng
MANGUPURA, Posbali.net - Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) has implemented the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by conducting Community Service (PKM) in Panji Tourism Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali.
As part of continuous efforts to support the development of local tourism, in this fourth phase, lecturers from the Convention and Event Management Program (PKA) of Bali Tourism Polytechnic focused on training to enhance cross-cultural communication skills in support of organizing events in Panji Village, including the Panji Festival.
The Head of the Tourism Department at Bali Tourism Polytechnic, I Nengah Wirata, SE, M.Par, in Nusa Dua on Monday (7/10), stated that this PKM is part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the village community in tourism, MSMEs, culinary arts, and commitment to environmental conservation. "After this fourth PKM, we plan to continue by organizing events coordinated by Bali Tourism Polytechnic students so that Panji Village becomes better known internationally," he expressed. On this occasion, he hoped to continue making tangible contributions to the development of Panji Tourism Village's tourism potential and enhancing the community’s readiness to host international-scale events such as the Panji Festival.
Meanwhile, the Village Chief of Panji, Jro Mangku Made Ariawan, S.S.T.Par., MBA, appreciated Bali Tourism Polytechnic's support in providing training to the Panji Village community through the continuous PKM program, which accelerates development in Panji Village. Bali Tourism Polytechnic has conducted PKM in Panji Village several times, and it is now being applied in the management of MSMEs by the local community.
"We should be proud because Panji Village has become the locus of Bali Tourism Polytechnic's PKM for the fourth time. This training will be directly implemented on the ground by operators such as tourism village managers, MSMEs, women's farmer groups (KWT), and the village's environmental programs," he said. The two-day fourth PKM, held on October 1-2, 2024, was attended by Village Chief Jro Mangku Made Ariawan, I Nengah Wirata, lecturers, Head of the Panji Village PKK, Ni Made Ari Cahyanti, participants, and several community leaders.
