Bali, October 1, 2024 – Bali once again made history as a global center for sustainability innovation with the implementation of the Green Skills in Tourism Gap Assessment through a Focus Group Discussion between STED Swisscontact Indonesia, Swisscontact Global Office, and Bali Tourism Polytechnic. The event, held at the UID Bali Campus in Serangan, is part of the world’s first pilot project specifically assessing the gap in green skills in the tourism sector and related industries.

This activity was initiated by STED Swisscontact Indonesia and Swisscontact Global Office, in collaboration with the Research and Community Service Center of Bali Tourism Polytechnic. The FGD was led by Mrs. Putu Diah Sastri Pitanatri, Head of the Research and Community Service Center of Poltekpar Bali, and Mrs. Zahrah Ratna Sari, Senior Program Officer Public Private Partnership SS4C (Swisscontact Indonesia). This collaborative research aims to identify the urgent Green Skills in Tourism needed for sustainable tourism, with a specific focus on the Bali region and its surroundings.
