Their active participation is a tangible manifestation of efforts to empower women in advancing the sustainable tourism sector in Tomohon.
The event will run for three days, from October 24 to 26, 2024, at the Amaris Hotel in Manado. The second day will focus on room service aspects, including techniques for making beds, handling check-ins/check-outs, and reservation management. These skills are crucial for homestay managers and other accommodation providers to offer more professional services. In addition, participants will be provided with knowledge of accommodation and food & beverage accounting, which will assist them in managing the financial aspects of their tourism businesses. On the third day, the training will focus on hospitality marketing strategies and entrepreneurship. Participants will learn how to increase the visibility of their businesses through effective marketing strategies and gain insights into managing small and medium enterprises in the food and beverage sector, as well as in accommodation.
Through this event, Politeknik Pariwisata Bali aims not only to improve the technical skills of the participants but also to provide full support for the empowerment of women in the tourism sector. With enhanced hospitality skills, the women participants are expected to make a significant contribution to local economic growth and become key pillars in realizing sustainable tourism in Tomohon. Empowering women is a strategic step toward creating an inclusive tourism industry, where women can play an active role in all aspects of tourism management.
