Empowering MSME Players: Poltekpar Bali’s MTP Program Hosts Community Service in Baturiti Village

To enhance the capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the Master’s Program in Tourism (MTP) at Poltekpar Bali (@pascasarjana.ppb) organized a Community Service Program (PKM) themed “Excellent Service Training and Tourism Awareness for MSME and Tourism Players in Baturiti Village, Kerambitan - Tabanan” on November 5–6, 2024.

The event was attended by 30 enthusiastic MSME and tourism participants from Baturiti Village, eager to improve their skills. Dr. I Nyoman Sudiksa, S.E., M.Par., CHE, the Head of the MTP Program, explained that the initiative aimed to enhance the community’s ability to manage tourism products, especially in a village with significant tourism potential like Baturiti.

Echoing this sentiment, Dr. I Ketut Surata, M.Sc., Chair of the Postgraduate Program representing Poltekpar Bali’s management, emphasized the importance of synergy between central, regional, and village governments in boosting tourism management through various initiatives.

I Made Suryana, S.E., the Head of Baturiti Village, welcomed the PKM program warmly. He noted that Baturiti Village boasts abundant cultural tourism potential, supported by numerous tourism-oriented MSMEs, such as those specializing in Kerambitan’s traditional culinary arts. He expressed hope that the PKM would help elevate the community’s capabilities in developing the village’s tourism products.
