In 2024, during the XXX graduation ceremony, this vocational university located in the Nusa Dua tourism area graduated 656 skilled workers in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
The Director of Poltekpar Bali, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes, in Nusa Dua on Thursday (17/10), explained that the graduates come from 10 study programs developed by the vocational institution in the fields of tourism and hospitality. The Master of Applied Tourism (MTP) program graduated 24 people, 326 graduates were from the Bachelor's degree programs, and 304 people from the Diploma 3 programs. Of the graduates, 11 percent have become entrepreneurs, 19 percent are in the recruitment process for various jobs, and 7 percent are continuing their education to a higher level, particularly to pursue doctoral degrees (S3).
Meanwhile, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, B.B.A., M.B.A., presented awards to nine (9) top graduates from each study program, as well as to students who had established their businesses before graduating.
The success of Poltekpar Bali graduates in entrepreneurship is also a result of the motivation consistently encouraged by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno. He emphasized that Poltekpar Bali graduates in 2024 should not only seek employment but also be capable of creating their own job opportunities. "I highly appreciate the graduates who have become entrepreneurs, making them job-creating heroes," said Sandiaga Uno, who was accompanied by Andar Danova L Goeltom.
