BiTP-DF Korean Center Bali Cultivates Future Leaders
INDOBALINEWS – Daewoong Foundation is dedicated to promoting Korean culture worldwide and nurturing global talent. The foundation, led by Yoon Jae-seung, announced the establishment of the BiTP-DF Korean Center, a Korean language center at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic, Indonesia, on Monday, October 14, 2024. The BiTP-DF Korean Center aims to provide Indonesian students with opportunities to learn the Korean language, understand Korean culture, and grow into global talents.
In further efforts, Daewoong Foundation also plans to expand its programs beyond a language school to spread the Korean language and culture across Indonesia. With the increasing interest in Korean culture and the Korean Wave phenomenon in Indonesia, more students aspire to learn Korean and pursue careers related to Korea. Daewoong Foundation plans to offer a practical curriculum covering the Korean language, culture, job-search skills, and industry knowledge to help students develop into global talents.
Moreover, to create an optimal learning environment, Daewoong Foundation is bringing in experienced instructors who have taught at various international universities. The foundation is now offering free Korean language courses to support students with a strong passion for learning. In addition to offering scholarships, outstanding and actively participating students will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience in Korean companies.
The foundation plans to expand its Korean language education programs across Bali by supporting universities planning to open Korean language departments. Daewoong Foundation is also committed to providing Korean language education and improving the quality of education in underprivileged middle and high schools to ensure that students can focus on their studies.
Daewoong Foundation strives to make Korean language education more accessible to everyone, including students from other schools and foreigners, not just limited to the language center’s students.
On October 9, 2024, coinciding with the celebration of Hangeul Day, the day of the creation of the Korean alphabet, Daewoong Foundation and Bali Tourism Polytechnic held an inauguration event for the BiTP-DF Korean Center. The event was attended by Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes., Director of Bali Tourism Polytechnic, representatives of Daewoong Foundation, faculty members, and students. Bali Tourism Polytechnic is an institution under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia that specializes in training tourism professionals to meet the needs of the tourism industry in Bali.
A representative from Daewoong Foundation stated, "We believe that by spreading the Korean language and culture in Indonesia, we can contribute to enhancing Korea’s global reputation. Daewoong Foundation will continue to provide scholarships and various educational opportunities to help potential talents grow into global leaders."
