Bali Tourism Polytechnic Welcome New Students of 2024 Through PSDP

Nusa Dua – Bali Tourism Polytechnic is preparing to welcome new students for the Academic Year 2024/2025. Bali Tourism Polytechnic itself previously held new student admissions through ‘Seleksi Bersama Masuk’ and ‘Seleksi Mandiri Masuk’ Bali Tourism Polytechnic 2024.

As the preparation to be the official students of Bali Tourism Polytechnic, prospective students are first required to take part in coaching activities called PSDP or Basic Professional Attitude Development.

According to the Chair of the 2024 PSDP Committee, I Gusti Agung Made Wirautama, S.Kom, M.Kom., PSDP aims to introduce facilities, student activities, environment and campus culture in order to adapt new students as a transition process from their original school and different region, becoming students who are ready to pursue their education at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic. In its series of activities, the PSDP began with training for the 2024 PSDP committee through LDKM activities for 3 days on 1 – 3 July 2024 which were coached directly by PMI Badung and the Bali Police Mobile Brigade. The first gathering of PSDP (Pre-PSDP) participants was held on Friday, July 5 2024, whereupon the core PSDP activities were carried out for five days, namely July 8 – 12 2024. The 2024 Bali Tourism Polytechnic PSDP was officially opened on Monday, July 8 2024 at the Field Bali Tourism Polytechnic.

At the opening of the PSDP, the Director of Bali Tourism Polytechnic gave a speech and welcomed the new students of Bali Toursim Polytechnic. “I welcome all the new students of Bali Tourism Polytechnic, I hope that through this PSDP activity new students can get to know the Bali Tourism Polytechnic campus more closely and gain benefits from PSDP disciplinary training in 2024,” said Dr. Drs Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes. The opening of the Bali Tourism Polytechnic PSDP was packaged with a ceremony which was attended not only by new students, but the entire Bali Tourism Polytechnic academic community including staff and lecturers. Symbolically, the Director of the Bali Tourism Polytechnic gave participants’ tokens to representatives of PSDP participants and released doves. The PSDP of Bali Tourism Polytechnic also involves the Mobile Brigade unit so it is certain that the PSDP will not involve activities that are bullying. Participants will take part in a series of PSDP activities that have been prepared by the committee including PSDP activities which will be filled with material presentations, introduction to HIMAPRODI, ORMAWA Open House, Product Development and various other disciplinary training activities.

It is reported that this year Bali Tourism Pokytechnic accepted 818 students, which consisted of 383 women (47%) and 435 men (53%). Interestingly, teh balanced ration was also shown in the application rate, which were 48% of 2.360 applicants were women, while 52% were men. In line with the equality policy in BiTP, the entrance test and other intake process were conducted with no discrimination.
