Kedonganan, 11 September 2024 – Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) is directly involved in carrying out mangrove planting actions on Kedonganan Beach, Bali. As a series of celebrations for the Makardhi II Festival, Bali Poltekpar held an environmental conservation action together with all Poltekpar under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The Makardhi Festival II Poltekpar Bali has officially opened on Tuesday, 10 September 2024 and will be held for 4 days until the peak night on Friday, 13 September 2024. The Makardhi Festival II is a celebration of the commemoration of World Tourism Day 2024 by highlighting Indonesian culture in the theme "Living in Harmony'. The Makardhi II Festival is designed with various academic activities including national seminars and cultural competitions to environmental awareness actions. One of the environmental conservation activities is mangrove planting.
Planting of mangrove seedlings was carried out in the Mangrove Forest of the Wana Segara Kerti Fisherman Community. This environmental conservation action is an application of the role of the Bali Poltekpar in supporting sustainable tourism, namely preserving the environment. According to the Deputy Chair of the Committee, I Gusti Agung Made Wirautama, S.Kom, M.Kom., planting mangrove seedlings has the aim of raising environmental messages and issues.
