Nusa Dua - Bali Tourism Polytechnic has reopened its admissions for new students in 2024. Following the Joint Entrance Selection (SBM) which was open from February 26 to May 4, 2024, this time Bali Tourism Polytechnic is opening the Independent Admission Path (SMM) for the institution. The opening of the SMM pathway is a special admission for new students specifically initiated by each polytechnic under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The launch of SMM at Bali Tourism Polytechnic took place on Monday, May 20, 2024. The launch event coincided with the commemoration of National Awakening Day and was conducted through a morning assembly. According to the chairman of the SMM committee, Mr. I Ketut Adhi Astawan, SE., M.Agb, the SMM pathway will be open for a shorter period, specifically for 24 days from May 20 to June 12, 2024. SMM is an independent pathway designated for regular admissions, entrepreneurs, achievement-based, and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cooperation.

The SMM pathway at Bali Tourism Polytechnic is accepting online registrations through the website pensisba.ppb.ac.id. Participants are encouraged to download and read the guidebook before proceeding with registration. The selection process for the SMM pathway at Bali Tourism Polytechnic includes Scholastic Aptitude Tests and Interviews. During registration, prospective participants are provided with 3 slots to choose their desired study programs, which include:

- D4 Hospitality Management (PPH)
- D4 Hospitality Accounting Management (MAH)
- D4 Travel Agency Business (UPW)
- D4 Tourism Destination
- D4 Convention and Event Management (PKA)
- D3 Culinary Arts (SKU)
- D3 Food and Beverage Service (TAH)
- D3 Room Division (DIK)
