Bali Tourism Polytechnic and Jiangxi Vocational College of Foreign Studies Train Kedonganan Community in Internationally Competitive Seafood Processing
JIMBARAN, radarbali.jawapos.com — Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) and Jiangxi Vocational College of Foreign Studies realize cross-country academic synergy through the implementation of the Institutional Collaborative Community Service Program (PKM) held on April 26-27, 2025.
With the theme "Chinese Cuisine Training as a Diversification of Competitive Seafood Products and Building an Entrepreneurial Motivation for the Segara Ayu Kedonganan Fishermen's Group," this program is a real manifestation of collaboration between vocational education institutions that unite expertise, cultural values, and strengthening local communities.
This Institutional Collaborative PKM was motivated by a joint discussion between Poltekpar Bali, Jiangxi Vocational College of Foreign Studies, and Kedonganan community leaders conducted through a focus group forum (FGD).
The discussion revealed an urgent need to increase the capacity of seafood processing and build entrepreneurial motivation among fishermen and youth groups in Kedonganan.
Poltekpar Bali then designed a collaborative intervention that was not only technical training, but also built a sustainable ecosystem through two-way knowledge transfer.
