The arrival of the JICA team was the second time this year where the representative team, Mr. Shinji Taguchi who was received directly by the Director of the Bali Tourism Polytechnic, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes. Bali Poltekpar and JICA have previously carried out collaboration in the field of education, especially Japanese language education, by presenting native speaker lecturers. The presence of native speaker lecturers is very useful, especially for students so they know directly the use and pronunciation of Japanese in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Mr Taguchi introduced the Junior Expert Japanese Language Lecturer, namely Ms. Nozomi Ota. Through her explanation, Ms. Ota has taught Japanese in several countries such as Myanmar and other ASEAN countries and is currently assigned to Indonesia, specifically at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic. For the future, Ms. Ota will help provide Japanese language teaching at the Bali Poltekpar along with Japanese Language Lecturers who will also be present and chat with Ms. Ota. Ms. Ota, in his introduction, stated that he was very happy when he set foot in Bali for the first time because of its natural beauty.
After the friendly event, the Bali Polytechnic Language Services Unit (UPB) team invited Ms. Ota and Mr. Taguchi toured the campus and visited the UPB office as well as several landmarks at the Bali Poltekpar.
