Gianyar, October 2-3, 2024 – Tegallalang Village, Gianyar, known for its stunning rice terrace landscapes, continues to grow as a prime tourist destination. With the increasing number of tourists, villa and homestay operators in the village are now facing intense competition. Currently, there are 78 accommodation businesses operating in Tegallalang. To navigate these challenges, accommodation managers need a solid understanding of how to determine both cost prices and competitive selling prices.

Following the success of a previous training on calculating cost prices, the Hospitality Accounting Management Study Program has continued to provide support to accommodation managers in the village. This follow-up assistance is designed to deepen knowledge about accurately calculating selling prices, helping small and medium enterprises (SMEs) devise effective pricing strategies.

As a tangible contribution, the Hospitality Accounting Management Study Program has also equipped accommodation managers with a pocketbook titled “Cost and Selling Price Determination for Accommodation and Restaurant Businesses.” This pocketbook is expected to serve as a practical guide for villa, homestay, and restaurant entrepreneurs in Tegallalang, helping them set optimal prices to ensure competitiveness in the tourism industry.
