Bali Tourism Polytechnic, renowned as one of Bali's top public tourism institutions, consistently promotes tourism development in Bali, particularly in enhancing tourism human resources skills. One of the efforts made is through Community Service Programs (PKM) organized by the Food and Beverage Service (TAH) Diploma III Program in Serangan Village, South Denpasar District. The PKM activity is one of the three manifestations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, packaged in the form of training for tourism practitioners. The training took place over two days, from Monday to Tuesday, September 18-19, 2023.

The theme of this TAH Program training session was 'English For Restaurant Training, Menu Design, and Basic Wine Knowledge for the Community in Serangan Village, South Denpasar District'. In a previous PKM in Serangan Village, the TAH Program focused on beverage processing and presentation. According to the committee chairman's report, I Ketut Rusdiarnata, S.St.Par., M.Par, there were a total of 30 participants from the local community of Serangan Village. The opening ceremony of the PKM was attended by the Secretary of Serangan Sub-District, Ketut Suriati, who welcomed the activity for its positive impact on enhancing English language skills, menu design, and wine knowledge. The first day of the TAH Program PKM at Bali Tourism Polytechnic was officially opened by Vice Director III, Dr. Luh Yusni Wiarti, A.Par., SE, M.Par., M.Rech. She emphasized that Serangan Village is an emerging tourist destination, and Bali Tourism Polytechnic, particularly the TAH Program, plays a role as an educational institution in supporting the development of tourism human resources in Serangan Village. Symbolically, the training activity began with the participants receiving their badges and ended with a group photo.

Aligned with the chosen theme, the TAH Program at Bali Tourism Polytechnic not only featured its faculty members providing knowledge and practical demonstrations but also included the Head of Tourism HRD Division from the Denpasar Tourism Office, Dewi Dyana Putra, Ah.Par, who discussed policies and legal foundations related to tourism villages. During this training, participants were engaged not only in theoretical learning but also in practical sessions, such as role-playing in English for Restaurant and wine creation demonstrations. It is hoped that the TAH Program's PKM activities will continue to support Serangan Village in enhancing tourism human resources quality.
