Head of Human Resources Development Center for Tourism and Creative Economy officially opened the Makardhi Festival

Nusa Dua, 10 September 2024 – Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) officially opened the Makardhi II Festival. Carrying the concept of 'Living in Harmony', the Makardhi Festival introduces the concept of peace and environmental sustainability through cultural tourism.

The Makardhi Festival will be held again by Poltekpar Bali in 2024. The Makardhi Festival is an activity carried out with a background of love for Indonesian art and culture. 'Makardhi' is an acronym for the motto of the Bali Tourism Polytechnic, namely 'Manganjali Karya Werdhi'. "In its entirety, this motto can be interpreted as increasing service through improving the quality of work/creation," explained Dr. Puja, Director of Poltkepar Bali. In line with this motto, through the report of the Director of Poltekpar Bali, the Makardhi II Festival seeks to create a form of tourism that not only provides positive experiences, but also contributes to global peace and sustainability. In line with this concept, the 2nd Makardhi Festival also carries 'Swarna Maha Abhiyana' which means 'Majestic Glitter of Archipelago Culture' as an illustration of the noble journey in achieving peace through magnificent cultural harmony.

The Makardhi II Festival is held in conjunction with the World Tourism Day event in 2024. According to the Head of the Human Resources Development Center of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Dr. Andar Danova L. Goeltom, S. Sos, M. Sc., representing Sesmenparekraf, Makardhi II Festival activities were designed as a platform to display various artistic and cultural expressions from all over the archipelago.
