Bali Tourism Polytechnic Welcomes New Students Through PSDP 2024, Involves Brimob to Prevent Bullying
NUSA DUA, radarbali.jawapos.com - Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) is preparing to welcome new students for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Poltekpar Bali previously held New Student Admissions through the Joint Selection Entrance (SBM) and Independent Selection Entrance (SMM) mechanisms for 2024. Through these two mechanisms, some students were officially declared as new students of Poltekpar Bali for 2024.
Before officially starting their studies at Poltekpar Bali, prospective students are required to participate in an orientation program called PSDP, or Professional Attitude Development Program. According to the Chairperson of the 2024 PSDP Committee, I Gusti Agung Made Wirautama, S.Kom, M.Kom., the PSDP aims to introduce the facilities, student activities, environment, and campus culture. This is intended to help new students adapt as they transition from various schools and regions to become students ready to pursue education at Bali Tourism Polytechnic.
The PSDP activities began with training for the 2024 PSDP committee through a three-day Leadership and Management Training (LDKM) from July 1 to July 3, 2024, conducted by PMI Badung and Brimob Polda Bali. The first gathering of PSDP participants (Pre-PSDP) took place on Friday, July 5, 2024, followed by the main PSDP activities from July 8 to July 12, 2024. The 2024 PSDP at Poltekpar Bali was officially opened on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Poltekpar Bali field.
During the PSDP opening ceremony, the Director of Poltekpar Bali, Dr. Drs Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes., delivered a welcome speech to the new students of Poltekpar Bali for 2024. "Welcome to the new students of Poltekpar Bali. I hope that through the PSDP activities, you can get to know the Poltekpar Bali campus better and benefit from the discipline training of PSDP 2024," said Dr. Drs Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes.
The PSDP opening was marked by a ceremony attended not only by new students but also by the entire academic community of Poltekpar Bali, including staff and lecturers. The Director of Poltekpar Bali symbolically attached participant badges to the PSDP representatives and released doves.
The PSDP at Poltekpar Bali also involved the Brimob unit to ensure that the activities did not include any form of bullying. Participants will engage in various PSDP activities prepared by the committee, including material presentations, introductions to HIMAPRODI (Student Associations), Open House ORMAWA (Student Organizations), Product Development, and various other discipline training activities, which was held by the concept of equality, including no discrimination of gender, race, religion, and else.
