Tegaljadi Village: A Pilot Tourism Village with Rich Potential

Tegaljadi Village is a pilot tourism village rich in natural potential and creative economic products. However, its development faces challenges in utilizing natural resources, village governance, and the management of community finances.

Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali), as a vocational education institution, is committed to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which includes community service activities (PKM). Targeting Tegaljadi Village, which has the status of a pilot tourism village in Tabanan Regency, Poltekpar Bali has collaborated with the Tabanan Tourism Office (Dispar) to conduct a Collaborative Institutional PKM in Tegaljadi. This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of Poltekpar Bali's role in the development of tourism in Bali, especially in tourism villages.

Carrying the theme "Empowerment and Development of Tegaljadi Village through Optimization of Local Potential, Tourism Governance, and Sustainable Financial Management," the PKM activities took place over two days, from September 12-13, 2024.

According to the report from the chairperson, Ir. Ida Ayu Kalpikawati, M.Si., the Poltekpar Bali team has conducted observations and analyses regarding the challenges in the development of Tegaljadi Village. “Poltekpar Bali, in collaboration with Dispar Tabanan, provides training and assistance aimed at offering solutions that include the development of village potential, governance towards a sustainable destination, and support in managing the finances of MSMEs in Tegaljadi Village,” Kalpikawati stated.
