Bali Hosts the 2nd UN Tourism Conference on Women Empowerment in Tourism in Asia and the Pacific

The 2nd UN Tourism Conference on Women Empowerment in Tourism in Asia and the Pacific has officially commenced. This is the second time UNWTO (now UN Tourism) has organized an international conference focusing on the role of women in the tourism sector. Indonesia, particularly Bali, is proud to host this prestigious event at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) in Nusa Dua.

The international conference is being held from May 2-4, 2024, involving 200 delegates from 30 countries. The meeting features officials and prominent women who have significantly contributed to advancing the tourism industry in Indonesia and globally as speakers.

Bali Tourism Polytechnic, as a state tourism campus under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, is actively participating in this event. A total of 50 students from Bali Tourism Polytechnic have been appointed as Liaisons Officers (LO) and Protocol Officers, having been trained to assist and accommodate all the needs of the participants.
