Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno (@sandiuno), along with delegates from The 2nd UN Tourism Regional Conference on the Empowerment of Women in Tourism in Asia and the Pacific, planted mangrove seedlings to offset the carbon footprint generated during the conference.

This activity took place on Thursday, May 3, 2024, in the Tanjung Benoa - Nusa Dua tourism area. The purpose of this initiative was to reduce the carbon footprint produced by all delegates throughout the event.

The Minister emphasized that decarbonization is a crucial step to demonstrate commitment to creating environmentally sustainable tourism.
