JIMBARAN, radarbali.jawapos.com – The commitment to developing Bali's health tourism sector is being highlighted once again. Recently, the government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), invited Chinese health industry players, particularly those specializing in traditional medicine, to invest in Indonesia.
This invitation was directly conveyed by Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, at the "2024 First China-ASEAN International Forum on Traditional Medicine" held at the Intercontinental Bali Resort, Jimbaran, Badung, on Saturday (18/5/2024).

"I am offering broader investment opportunities because Tian Jin Hospital, one of the participants in this forum, has advantages in traditional treatment methods," said Minister Sandiaga. However, this offer is not just a simple invitation. The government, through the health special economic zones being developed, one of which is in Kura-Kura Sanur, will provide various facilities, conveniences, and incentives.

"The Sanur Special Economic Zone aims to attract more than 3 to 5 billion US dollars overall. This is what we are currently offering," stated Sandiaga.

Support also comes from the Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali). The Director of Poltekpar Bali, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes, previously mentioned that in the future, Poltekpar Bali is planned to be equipped with a traditional health center.
"China was chosen as a partner for collaboration because the 'Bamboo Curtain' country has many traditional medicine centers," he said.

Similarly, the Vice Rector for Planning and Information at Udayana University (Unud), Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes., MICE, stated that the cooperation with China in traditional medicine is a very good step. Currently, Unud has a hospital that also serves as a center for traditional medicine. Therefore, cooperation will be enhanced and expanded in the future.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun, stated that the First China-ASEAN International Forum on Traditional Medicine is a very important forum. This cooperation will provide many benefits, including in the fields of culture, health, and economy. The economic field, in particular, stands to gain the most significant benefits. This cooperation marks the initial step for China, Unud, and Poltekpar Bali, which will be followed up in the next stages.

"If this cooperation between China, Unud, and Poltekpar Bali can continue smoothly, it is believed that the development of traditional health in Bali will progress well," he concluded.
