PosBali.Net, MANGUPURA - A number of students from Class B of the 2020 cohort at Poltekpar Bali conducted a Management Application (APM) at Undisan Tourism Village, Bangli Regency. APM is a mandatory activity for all Poltekpar Bali students, including those in the Hospitality Accounting Management (MAH) program. The APM activity by the MAH Program at Poltekpar Bali aims to provide community service in Bali, as stated by the Coordinator of the MAH Program, Dr. Ni Made Sri Rukmiyati, SE, M.Si, CHE, in Nusa Dua, on Wednesday (3/4/2024).

She mentioned that a dozen MAH program students from this vocational education institution in tourism and hospitality carried out APM at the cool-climate tourism village by implementing a Macro Excel-Based Accounting Information System. The 8th-semester MAH students conducted the APM through various stages, starting with field observations.

"Data obtained from close observations at several homestays in Undisan Tourism Village were processed and analyzed using various theoretical frameworks from scholars," she emphasized.

She concluded that the financial management of several homestays in Undisan Tourism Village is still basic. The homestay managers' financial management does not yet adhere to an accounting information system, lacks a Chart of Accounts, and does not have clear and detailed financial reports. To develop good homestay business practices, it is deemed necessary to conduct training in financial recording and reporting.

"This Management Application activity will be beneficial in creating standardized financial recording books and a Macro Excel-based accounting information system to facilitate the operational activities of homestays in Undisan Tourism Village, Bangli," she stated.

Furthermore, the Macro Excel-based financial report designed by the students will help homestay managers in Undisan Tourism Village, Bangli, to produce more structured and consistent financial reports. The Head of the APM Seminar Committee, Ni Made Diah Parwati, stated that the APM results are the outcome of practical activities by 8th-semester MAH program students.

"The Management Application (APM) initially underwent an assessment and approval process, followed by a proposal seminar, a data consolidation seminar, a trial seminar at the homestays in Undisan Tourism Village, Bali, and concluded with the Results Seminar," she explained.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director I of Poltekpar Bali, Dr. I Gusti Agung Gede Witarsana, SST.Par.M.M.CHE., noted that the Tourism Village is one of the priority programs of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia. The APM activity, themed "Development of a Macro Excel-Based Accounting Information System for Homestays in Undisan Tourism Village, Bangli Regency," is very important for the Tourism Village.

"The selection of Undisan Tourism Village as the APM site for students from this vocational higher education institution in tourism and hospitality was due to its national reputation," he explained.

The APM seminar, themed "Development of a Macro Excel-Based Accounting Information System for Homestays in Undisan Tourism Village, Bangli Regency," was opened by Deputy Director Witarsana. The one-day seminar was attended by the Director of Poltekpar Bali, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes, lecturers, staff, students from Poltekpar, and several managers of Undisan Tourism Village.
