Entrepreneurship Unit of Bali Tourism Polytechnic Organizes Workshop for Lecturers on Entrepreneurship RPS Development

Nusa Dua - Bali Tourism Polytechnic continues its efforts to foster excellence in tourism and hospitality, particularly in entrepreneurship. Guided by the directives of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Uno, Bali Tourism Polytechnic is committed to enhancing entrepreneurial skills among its students, enabling graduates to create employment opportunities in their respective fields. In addition to focusing on students, Bali Tourism Polytechnic aims to provide understanding and skills in entrepreneurship to all faculty members.

Through the Entrepreneurship Unit, Bali Tourism Polytechnic organized a workshop on Entrepreneurship for all faculty members within the institution. The workshop took place on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Genitri Building, Bali Tourism Polytechnic. The event was officially opened by the Director of Bali Tourism Polytechnic, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes. The one-day workshop was themed 'Enhancing the Capacity of Entrepreneurship Lecturers in Advancing the Quality of Higher Tourism Education and Enhancing the Competitiveness of Graduates at the National and International Levels'. The workshop aimed to enhance the understanding and skills of faculty members in entrepreneurship, boost their motivation to support entrepreneurship programs, and train them in collaborative efforts to support entrepreneurship initiatives.

The keynote speaker for the event was Mr. Eko Suhartanto, PhD, a lecturer at Prasetiya Mulya University, who presented on Entrepreneurship Final Assignment Design. A total of 54 participants attended the workshop with enthusiasm, attentively listening to Mr. Eko Suhartanto's explanations. The workshop was divided into three sessions: the first session covered entrepreneurship education, while the second and third sessions involved discussions among each study program regarding objectives, outcomes, and idea development, as well as the presentation of activities, materials, assessment, and facilitators. The final session included presentations from each study program and the collection of initial drafts of the Entrepreneurship Final Semester Learning Plan (RPS).
